Products - Pneumatic Control Drive

The KAT make power cylinders positions plant final control elements like damper, butterfly valve etc.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION:
The position control unit mounted on the cylinder is a forced balanced type instrument. Positioning is based on the balance of two forces, one proportional to the input signal (0.2 to 1kg /cm2) received from the I/P converter and other proportional to the stem position.

Change in input pressure signal acts upon the diaphragm in the input signal bellow creating a unbalanced force , which regulates the pilot valve and opens or closes the cylinder position. The motion of the actuator stem is transmitted to the top end and on the feedback spring through the follower arm and cam. As a result tension in the feedback spring will vary as the stem position changes, and balance is made after accurately positioning the stem of the cylinder. (Refer Fig. 1)
